Instruction/Procedure-To tell how something is to be accomplished through a sequence of step or action

Information Report-To prove accurate and relevant information about our living and non-living world

Explanation-To account for why thing are as they are or how/why something occurs

Arguments- To present argument /point of view on an issue

Narrative-To entertain as well as instruct the reader or listen……………………

Language Features

Recount- Past tense, Time connective ( Firstly, Secondly…..etc)

Instruction/procedure-Imperatives,command words,Numbers/Time connectives,Detail where, what,when,how

Report-Present tense/unless this is a historical re measure if difficult port, Explain the words, precise volcabury 

Explanation-Present tense, time connectives, cause and effect

Arguments-Present tense verbs, Strong, attention,seeking language
